Why is Spring and Autumn the best time for Skin Treatments?

I love Spring and Autumn it is a great time in the salon as this is the best time to offer your clients great skin treatments that will solve their skin problems and improve their skin. Clients start feeling their skin change with the season and this is the time that you can offer them a fantastic opportunity to having great skin with terrific result based skin treatments. Why is Spring and Autumn the best time to put your clients on these treatments? In summer it is not preferred to do highly active peels, IPL or Laser as the skin after these treatments as there is a higher danger have hyper/hypo pigmentation complications due to them being more sensitive to the sunlight. Plus Summer is for fun, spray tans, relaxing massages and showing off pretty toes. As for winter the skin is fighting the dehydration due to the cold and wind. Summer and Winter is time for maintenance, hydration and relaxation.

Spring and Autumn is the perfect time to place your clients on an 8 to 12 week skin treatments to tackle their major skin concerns. The major concerns for most clients are Pigmentation, Anti-Aging, Acne and Hair Removal with IPL or Laser. Below are the treatment plans I place my clients on to get fantastic results.

I like to keep the skin treatments simple, affordable and result driven.

For Pigmentation, Anti-Aging and Acne the treatment plan is in accordance with their consultation form and skin Analysis xxxx. The treatment products must match the problem that you are solving for your clients. For example the chemical peel for acne is Salicylic, Anti-aging TCA, AHA, Retinal, Enzymes and for pigmentation AHA and/or enzymes See below my basic plan.

Treatment 1. Full Skin Analysis and home treatment products that will prepare the skin for the treatment plans. Take photos so that your client will be able to see the amazing results of the plan.

Treatment 2. Exfoliation – Micro-dermabrasion and Hydrating and treatment mask

Treatment 3. Chemical Peel – Level 1 – if they are new to result based treatments then do not overwhelm the skin and slowly step up the strength of the

skin to ensure that you do not have an adverse reaction leading to permanent or semi permanent damage and scaring. LED – red for anti-aging and pigmentation and blue for acne.

Treatment 4. Treatment 2. Exfoliation – Micro-dermabrasion with Hydrating and treatment mask.

Treatment 5. Chemical Peel – Level 2 – step the chemical peel strength up. LED – red for anti-aging and pigmentation and blue for acne.

Treatment 6. Treatment 2. Exfoliation – Micro-dermabrasion and Hydrating and treatment mask

Treatment 7. Chemical Peel – Level 2 or Level 3 depending on the clients skin an how it is reacting to the treatment– LED – red for anti-aging and pigmentation and blue for acne.

Treatment 8. At this stage the client should be see amazing results and improvements. If they have only purchased 8 treatments this is where you do the full makeover. Full Facial, Brow shaping, tinting, lash tint and Makeup. Take a photo prior the treatment and at the end of the treatment The Client will love their skin and their new look.

Now that their skin is condition to active profession products and treatments this is when you can step up the treatment to a next level by adding IPL or Laser or skin needling over 4 more treatments. Do not forget that you can always add to each treatment with extra services like High frequency, RF, direct current, waxing, tinting etc to further improve the end result. When winter and summer comes you place your clients on a maintenance program of 1 visit every 3 to 5 weeks where your focus is to maintain the beautiful skin that you have help them to achieve.
